“The future and prosperity of our world depends on the skillful mentoring of each new generation by the one that precedes it.”nSpring Break Kenya gives young University Students the opportunity to mentor students attending primary and high schools. Through this initiative, our younger students have an opportunity to have a mentor. Mentors help mentees;n• Reach their educational goalsn• Appreciate their natural talents, gifts, and abilitiesn• Recognize that they have something valuable to offer in the 21st century.
Majority of young students grow up in communities that often times lack role models to encourage them to dream, and be ambitious. Younger students often lack mentors to encourage them to reach for their stars. They lack people they can look up to and be inspired to reach past the sky. There is thus A GREAT NEED for Mentoring.
Since its inception, Spring Break Kenya has mentored over 1800 students in high schools and primary schools. Students benefiting from mentoring have been from several regions in Kenya including the Kenyan Coast, and Nyanza.
